From July 11 to 12, Dongfang Electronics was invited to participate in the 15th Distribution Technology Application Conference under the theme "Integrating Digital-Intelligent Multi-Solution to Build Modern Smart Distribution Networks" and delivered a keynote report titled "Automation Solutions for Distribution Substation Rooms and Box-Type Transformers".
This conference took "Building a Full Industry Chain for the Distribution Sector to Support High-Quality Development of Distribution Networks" as its main theme, and concurrently held an exhibition of new distribution equipment and technologies.
1. Keynote Report
In the keynote report "Automation Solutions for Distribution Substation Rooms and Box-Type Transformers", Dongfang Electronics pointed out that there are many problems with the current distribution terminals in substation rooms. The number of monitoring circuits, external interfaces and indicators of the terminals lack unified standards, which bring difficulties to subsequent operation, maintenance and transformation work. In addition, the equipment in substation rooms is complex, with protection devices, distribution terminals, automatic transfer switches and other equipment coexisting, which not only leads to high investment costs, but also complicated wiring. Meanwhile, the 2021 version of the primary-secondary integration scheme does not include box-type transformers, resulting in a lack of unified automation solutions for them.
To address the above pain points, it is particularly necessary to develop a high-capacity substation room terminal integrating protection and automatic transfer switch functions. This will not only help improve the automation level of distribution substation rooms, but also effectively save investment costs. Dongfang Electronics, in combination with Standardized Design Scheme for 10kV High and Low Voltage Prefabricated Substations (2023 Edition), proposed a distribution automation solution applicable to box-type transformers.
